About a product
Prunes are dried fruits of plum-trees, sort “Hungarian”. For production of prunes must be used ripe, fleshy texture of fruits (without pits) containing no less than 10% of sugar and no more than 1,2% of acids. Fruits must be previously blanched, treated with boiling water and then they must be cooled with flowing water and dried in steam-heated ovens during 8-10 hours at the temperature of 80°С.
After cooling and sorting prunes are treated with glycerine to give them a polish.
This most common dried fruit is known for its health-giving properties. Prunes normalize pressure and functioning of the gastrointestinal tract. They are recommended for those who suffer from vegeto-vascular dystonia and beriberi.
Prunes may be used separately and with other dried fruits and nuts. They may be used in a great variety of dishes.
